[The Story]
The Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association’s (PERA) mission
is to administer and promote sustainable retirement plans and provide services that their members value. They serve over 475,000 current and former public employees from over 2,000 local units of government throughout the state of Minnesota. They also provide monthly benefits to over 100,000 retirees and other benefit recipients.

NEED
PERA administers three statewide retirement plans providing defined benefit plan (DBP) to participating public employees in the state of Minnesota. They needed a video that would increase new member awareness of their pension – what it means to have a defined benefit pension – so they are informed and empowered to be an advocate.
THE
SOLUTION
We created a 2D vector graphic animated video to be fun, short, and entertaining. We created a spokesperson for the video who would be recognizable and be used across other campaign materials. Her name – Penny!
