[Case Study]

Conserving the
Nation's Soil,
Water, & Air

Nighthawk's goal for this project was the successful completion of a short video (around 5 minutes in length) and supporting still photography that profiled Kimberly Ratcliff on her ranch in Oakwood, Texas, and the conservation work she has done with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

[The Story]

The USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service

NRCS helps America’s farmers, ranchers and forest landowners conserve the nation’s soil, water, air and other natural resources. All programs are voluntary and offer science-based solutions that benefit both the landowner and the environment. They provide one-on-one, personalized advice on the best solutions to meet the unique conservation and business goals of those who grow our nation’s food and fiber.

THE

 NEED

Each year, the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees recognizes a farmer as the recipient of the Lloyd Wright Small Farmer Award. The award nomination process requires a video entry. NRCS often works with those nominated for the award and is a key entity in making award nominations.

THE

 SOLUTION

The goal of this project was the successful completion of a short video (around 5 minutes in length) and supporting still photography that profiled Kimberly Ratcliff on her ranch in Oakwood, Texas, and the conservation work she has done with the NRCS. We were excited to get our drone out and capture great aerial footage of Kimberly’s ranch. The video and supporting photographs were exhibited at the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees Conference as part of the Lloyd Wright Small Farmer Award program.

[The Highlights]

Crushingly Awesome Aerial Drone Sequences.

In today's uniquily evolving world, Drones have become the most interesting and exciting way to capture stunning footage. Using Drones for our videos allows us to instantly make the content more dynamic and frictionless with amazing 4K/HD capabilities.

[The Highlights]

Simple & Effective Supporting Animation

With motion, we can advance your story through the use of animation.
